Research
At the Institute we concentrate on empirical based questions about capital market research and corporate finance. In this we take account of rational as well as behavioural finance (“Behavioral Finance”).
While capital market research deals with the investment behaviour of private persons and institutions, in the field of Finance we look at the financing of businesses and their investment behaviour, as well as the valuation of companies.
The emphasis is on amongst others the influence of managers’ characteristics on the financial decisions of companies as well as the analysis of ways of improving those decisions through corporate governance, accountability and incentive systems or having regard to behavioural effects (“Debiasing”).
